Downstream and Retail Marketing (DRM) Division
Within the Ministry of Energy and Energy Affairs, the Downstream and Retail Marketing Division (DRMD):
- Administers the Petroleum Production Levy & Subsidy Act by calculating ex-Refinery prices, calculating operator levy share, and auditing subsidy claims
- Monitors the Public Sector Investment Programme and the Infrastructure Development Projects for downstream projects
- Monitors downstream/retail supply and demand balance
- Develops strategy recommendations as appropriate
- Regulates the local wholesale and retail marketing network including annual evaluation and approval of licenses
- Develops and recommend policies for the downstream and retail market
- Monitors the operations of the refining subsector
