Competitive Bid Round
Competitive Bid Rounds hosted by the Ministry of Energy and Energy Affairs for obtaining licenses for quarrying blocks are usually advertised in the Local Media. The usual procedure is as follows:
- Invitation to Bid Packages for various blocks can be purchased by paying a package acquisition fee, the amount of which is specified for the specific bid round.
- In order to place a bid for a specific quarrying block, an application fee must be paid.
- Bid documents, containing both technical and financial proposals must be placed in the relevant tender boxes before the specified closing date and time of the Bid Round.
- Bids are usually opened at a specified time and date in the presence of Bidders representatives
- The evaluation of bids then proceeds where a specified committee assesses bids.
