Dr the Honourable Roodal Moonilal Minister of Energy and Energy Industries and Permanent Secretary (Ag.), Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries along with executives of the National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (NGC) met with executives from Nutrien Limited (Nutrien) on Monday 2nd March 2026 at the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries International Waterfront Complex, Head Office, Port-of-Spain.
Discussions were centred around Government’s policy regarding the importance of the downstream petrochemical sector and future business opportunities involving the NGC and Nutrien.
The Honourable Minister emphasised the Government’s intention to ensure that the energy sector is managed prudently to ensure equity to both investors as well as to the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago.
The Government’s commitment to actively managing the energy sector and ensuring the optimal, sustainable and sovereign use of Trinidad and Tobago’s natural gas resources in the national interest was reiterated during the discussion.
