It is my distinct pleasure in participating in the Energy Chamber’s 5th Annual Energy Efficiency and Renewables Conference which is aptly titled “Leading the Transition”. Energy Efficiency and Renewables have been at the forefront of the fight against climate change. However that step change has been slow in coming. The turnaround was instigated by the 2016 Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC, better known as COP21, in France which raised the alarm of an impending environmental catastrophe if the world continued on the same path and which garnered agreement
to reduce greenhouse emissions.
