It’s time to ‘RE-think with Renewables!’
If you are between the ages of 8-17 then join the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries and the British High Commission for an exciting new competition highlighting the importance of renewable energy!

HOW TO ENTER:
- Research renewable energy and its applications at home or visit the social media pages of the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries and the British High Commission for tips on practicing Energy Efficiency at home.
- Record a video of yourself answering the following question:
“Why is renewable energy important and how could you incorporate renewable energy in everyday home life?”
Be very creative –videos should be between 2-4 minutes long
- Rules:
- The competition is open to two age groups:
Support and permission from parents/guardians may be required.
- Junior RE-thinkers: 8years – 12years
- Senior RE-thinkers:13years – 17years
- DEADLINE: Entries must be submitted no later than 11:59pm, 31st December 2020
- Staff of the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries and the British High Commission, their dependents and immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
Other Guidelines:
- Participants must adhere to age restrictions and categories.
- Only one entry per participant.
- Persons between the ages of 8-17 will need parents or guardian’s consent to submit (ie to upload submissions) on their behalf.
- Videos must be original. Plagiarized videos will not be accepted.
- Videos must be between 2 minutes – 4 minutes in length. No more, no less.
- Participants must not be assisted by a videographer or any other professionals in the field.
- Specifications on criteria must be followed.
- Submitted videos are subjected for use by the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries and the British High Commission for social media platforms, website and other media and advertising.

- File transfer apps like: WeTransfer, Google Drive, Dropbox can be used, but links must still be emailed to the above email address, along with the information below.
Entries must include:
- Name
- Date of Birth
- Video file (max 4 minutes).
- Telephone contact
- Parent/guardian’s name/contact
- The competition will be judged by a panel from the British High Commission and the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries
- Entries should be creative, well researched and must directly answer the question:
“Why is renewable energy important and how could you incorporate renewable energy in everyday home life?”
