On 21st January 2026, Dr the Honourable Roodal Moonilal, Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, the Honourable Ernesto Kesar, Minister in the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries, Ms Karinsa Tulsie, Permanent Secretary (Ag.), Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries and Mr Marc Rudder Chief Technical Officer at the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries held discussions with upstream executives from Trinidad and Tobago’s energy sector at the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries’ International Waterfront Complex, Head-Office, Port-of-Spain.
The executives present were Dr Bram Willemsen, Trinidad and Tobago Operations Manager, ExxonMobil; Mrs Candice Clarke-Salloum, Country Chair, English Caribbean and Corporate Relations Head Shell; Mr Bjorn Melaa, VP Commercial Trinidad and Tobago Shell; Mr David Campbell, President bpTT; Mr Bryan Ramsumair, Country Manager, Woodside Energy; Mr Stephen Barc, General Manager Perenco; Mr Anand Ragbir, Interim Managing Director, Proman Energy and; participating virtually was Mr George Vieira, Vice President and Managing Director, EOG Resources Trinidad Limited.
Discussions focused on opportunities to enhance productivity across Trinidad and Tobago’s energy value chain, particularly in the upstream as well as on the progress of the implementation of the Energy Accelerator Hub, an initiative by the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to minimise bureaucratic delays within the energy sector.
The exchange of perspectives was viewed as critical to strengthening the overall performance and competitiveness of the energy sector. The discussions were productive and underscored the continued collaboration between the Government and key stakeholders in support of the long-term development of Trinidad and Tobago’s energy sector.
