Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, Dr. The Honourable Roodal Moonilal, and Minister in the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries, the Honourable Ernesto Kesar, along with Permanent Secretaries (Ag.) Ms. Karinsa Tulsie and Mrs. Ava Mahabir-Dass, met with Dr. Jennifer Neidhart de Ortiz, Chargé d’Affaires, and Mr. Jeff Cernyar, Economic Chief at the Embassy of the United States of America, Port of Spain. The meeting took place at the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries’ International Waterfront Complex Head Office on Monday 2 March, 2026.

Minister Moonilal received updates from Dr. Neidhart de Ortiz and expressed appreciation for the continued partnership between Trinidad and Tobago and the United States. Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, including opportunities for investment, energy security, and collaboration.

The Ministers reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to fostering a stable and attractive investment climate and welcomed continued dialogue for the mutual benefit of both countries.
