Development of a Renewable Energy Policy Framework for Trinidad and Tobago

The University of the West Indies (UWI) Engineering Institute supported the MEEI with development of a Renewable Energy Policy Framework for Trinidad and Tobago with the objective to provide optimum growth and development of the country’s renewable energy resources to maximise opportunities for clean energy and clean production and the development of a culture for energy efficiency and conservation. Cabinet approved this Policy Framework in late 2010 which has been incorporated in the Draft Policy Green Paper that is currently being finalised.
