The Minister of Energy and Energy Industries and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, the Honourable Stuart R. Young, M.P., is in Suriname for a number of high-level meetings and to attend the Suriname Energy, Oil & Gas Summit & Exhibition 2022.

Whilst in Suriname Minister Young is expected to meet with His Excellency Chandrikapersad Santokhi, the President of the Republic of Suriname, His Excellency Albert Ramdin, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Business and International Cooperation of the Republic of Suriname and other government officials to discuss a number of initiatives related to energy security and possibilities of collaboration between Trinidad and Tobago and Suriname in the energy sector.
