Today, the Minister of Energy and Energy Industries and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, The Honourable Stuart R. Young, MP along with Permanent Secretary, Penelope Bradshaw-Niles, met with Repsol executives Mr. José Vicente Bravo, Executive Director Europe, Africa, Asia, Brazil & Venezuela, Mr. Ángel Bautista, Institutional Director, Mr. Pablo Hernando, Business Unit Director and Ms. Maria Cristina Legarza, Technical Manager Repsol, at the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries’ International Waterfront Complex Head-Office, Port-of-Spain.

Minister Young was updated on Repsol’s business activities and given some insight into prospective projects. Discussions were held regarding local and regional gas development and the possibility of supplying the European and other Local and International markets. Both parties exchanged views guided by their expertise on approaches and strategies which would be mutually beneficial in consideration of the current and future global market. 

Minister Young looks forward to the continued collaboration with Repsol in his commitment to promote the long-term growth of the energy sector for the benefit of our local economy on behalf of the Government of Trinidad and Tobago. The parties agreed to work together and explore the development of significant future projects which would provide sustainable energy security.
