The Honourable Stuart R. Young S.C., M.P Minister of Energy and Energy Industries and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, along with Mrs. Penelope Bradshaw-Niles, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries, received an update on Woodside Energy’s Calypso Project on 25th September, 2024. The meeting took place at the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries’ International Waterfront Complex, Head-Office, Port-of-Spain.
The Woodside Energy executives present at the meeting were, Mrs. Kellyanne Lochan, Country Manager Trinidad and Tobago, Woodside Energy; Mr. Onne Peters, Vice President, Marketing, Woodside Energy; Ms. Stacy Patrick, Calypso Project Director, Woodside Energy and Dr. Carla Noel-Mendez, Manager Corporate Affairs, Woodside Energy. Also, in attendance at the meeting was Mr. Terrance Ali, Chief Technical Officer (Ag.), Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries.
In providing an update to the energy minister on the Calypso Project, Mrs. Kellyanne Lochan stated that ‘pre-feed’ engineering work is progressing. Minister Young also received an update on the improved operations at Woodside Energy’s Angostura facility after its successful turnaround.
In the interest of energy security and navigating the energy transition, Woodside Energy continues to engage with the National Gas Company on innovative ways to increase natural gas production.
Both parties agreed to progress works on the Calypso Project and collaborate on identifying opportunities for future engagement.
