My heartfelt condolences to his family and colleagues at the Ministry on this sudden and tragic loss.

To me, he will always be Frankie – smiling, even in the face of adversity. It is a privilege to be counted among his friends and colleagues from since he graduated from UWI Mona, playing cricket with and against each other, spending hours discussing and debating sports, geology, and the state of our industry, economy, country and its politics.

As part of the second generation of local geologists, who followed in the illustrious footsteps of some great and often unheralded heroes, Frankie was part of a close-knit bunch, working, learning and living as we did in that unique time and space of our country’s history.

Rest in peace, my friend. You will be missed.
