The Honourable Stuart R. Young, MP, Minister of Energy and Energy Industries and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, along with Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries, Ms. Penelope Bradshaw-Niles, received a courtesy visit from Mr. Ezra Yacob, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, EOG Resources Inc; Mr. Michael Donaldson, Executive Vice-President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, EOG Resources Inc; Mr. Joe Korenek, Jr. Vice-President and General Manager, International, EOG Resources Inc; and Mr. George Vieira, Managing Director, EOG Resources Trinidad Limited. The meeting took place today, Wednesday 8th November, 2023 at the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries, International Waterfront Complex Head-Office.
Minister Young welcomed Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, Mr.Ezra Yacob and thanked the executives of EOG Resources for their support in the transformation of the energy sector. Minister Young was updated on the progress of business activities regarding EOG Resources’ drilling plan which aims to drill approximately twenty wells by the end of 2025. Minister Young shared in the optimism of the executive team, that the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries and by extension the Government of Trinidad and Tobago, would continue to collaborate with EOG Resources on ongoing projects for the mutual benefit of both parties.
EOG Resources Trinidad Ltd. is a local subsidiary of the US-based energy company engaged in hydrocarbon exploration, EOG Resources Inc. It holds several concession contracts for the supply of natural gas in Trinidad and Tobago, accounting for approximately three per cent (3%) of the group’s global reserves.
