Farewell on your journey to your heavenly abode, begun on the historic day of the funeral of a royal icon of science and technology.Geoscientists who inherited the world-class petroleum industry from intrepid pioneers will continue to deliver energy for progress and guide the search for knowledge of precious resources. Beneficiary of the bounty of petroliferous Guayaguayare and the hydrocarbon hub of Mayaro, you followed in the footsteps of heroes of TLL, Texaco, AMOCO, EOG, BP and Shell , champions of the energy epicentre of CARICOM, lying in graveyards from Poine-a-Pierre. to Port-of-Spain. Eternal rest forever.

To the family from my family, I humbly offer our condolences and I thank you all for caring for Senator Franklin Khan and his stewardship and contributions to the energy sector during a Covid-19 pandemic and worldwide transition away from crude oil and natural gas being a national income earner, He was a true and amicable statesman, a gentleman and country boy.

Minister Khan was my former line Minister from 2002 to 2005. We developed a close professional relationship. I enjoyed his support, trust and confidence. He was able to overcome political adversity and once more became a Cabinet Minister. He was a true patriot who served TT with distinction. His passing is a great loss to TT and the region. We pray that his family will have strength during this difficult period. Keep on smiling Frankie. May your souls RIP.

My heart bleeds at the passing of my dear friend and Arthur Lok Jack GSB alumnus💔whom I was blessed to have as the best team leader. My one regret is not having also served you, Frankie, as the Minister of Energy and Energy Industries during my stint as Senior Energy Analyst, knowing that my colleagues would have had the greatest captain to lead them onto the field. I will surely miss your smiles, your humour, and your wisdom. R.I.P my beautiful brother, as you rise in glory among the smiling angels, who wait to greet you...where there's no more sorrow, no more heartache, and no more pain... until we meet again!!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

You were a great soul in and out of the political platform. You will find eternal rest among the other ancestors. Your smiling demeanor will continue to resonate deep rays of sunlight upon the world. You worked credibly and deligently. Franklin Khan will be forever missed. To the families he's left behind (Khan, PNM and constituency), cry/grief when you need to, but do not weaken and/or allow your soul to be eaten away. Please stay strong knowing he's in a most envious and better place, and will continue his work from there. Keep head up and continue marching frwd and upward in God's greatest grace. From the Blood family: April 18, 2021. 0527hrs. Trinidad
